'Yudh Nashian Virudh': On Day 276, Punjab Police Nabs 83 Drug Smugglers With 1.7kg Heroin, 1.201 Drug Money

Continuing the war against drugs “Yudh Nashian Virudh” waged by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann to eradicate drug menace from state consecutively for the 276th day, Punjab Police conducted raids at 271 locations on Tuesday leading to the arrest of 83 drug smugglers after registration of 63 first information reports (FIRs) across the state.
With this, the number of total drug smugglers arrested has reached to 38,904 in 276 days. The raids have resulted in recovery of 1.7 kg heroin, 3 kg Ganja, 40 kg poppy husk, 682 intoxicant pills and Rs 1.20 lakhs drug money from the possession of arrested drug smugglers.
