International Day Against Drugs was celebrated at Saroop Rani Government College

Simran Santosh Rajput, Amritsar, June 28NCC Army Wing of S.R. Govt. College for Women, Asr. observed 'International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking' on 26th June 2025 to bring awareness about the deadly effects of drugs under the able guidance of Pr.Kiranjit Bal and supervision of CTO Ms.Ekta Verm. In order to promote the awareness, the NCC Army Wing department of our college performed a series of activities which included A Guest lecture by Ms. Gurpreet and Ms Navpreet from NGO, PRATHAM where they acquainted the cadets with the menace of drugs and how they destroy the lives of the youth and the families.

A Nukkad Natak was presented by the cadets on drug usage, how easily the youth falls prey to the luring pleasures of drugs and how it ultimately ends their life with suffering and regret.Besides this, the cadets prepared posters related to Drug Abuse and then the best posters were selected numbering first, second and third.In the next category, NCC cadets delivered speeches and recited self composed poems on drugs to bring awareness and four best s
