Import duty cut against apple producers, says Rathore

Expressing surprise at the Centre government's decision to reduce the import duty on New Zealand apple from 50 per cent to 25 per cent under the Free Trade Agreement (FTA), All India Congress Committee (AICC) spokesperson Kuldeep Rathore termed the decision anti-national and against the apple producers of the country.

“Even though Prime Minister Narendra Modi keeps harping on swadeshi, the decision to reduce the import duty on apples amounts to promoting foreign imports
