Fight, but do not hate

THE recent Pahalgam terror attack in Kashmir has left many of us in grief and disbelief.

As we mourn the victims, it's natural to seek justice, to feel the urge to react in some way to the horror inflicted upon innocent lives. But how we respond matters.

The Bhagavad Gita offers timeless wisdom for us in moments of turmoil, even in the face of terror and violence.

Krishna’s teachings to Arjuna resonate now, as they did on the battlefield of Kurukshetra. His call to fight, but not out of anger or hatred, is a powerful message for us today.

He tells Arjuna: “Fight, but do not hate. Act, but do not attach yourself to anger.” (Paraphrased from Krishna’s message in the Bhagavad Gita).

In times like these, when our emotions are raw, we must remember the core of dharma: righteousness, justice and peaceful coexistence.
