Recently, they apparently launched two medium range missiles against a US / UK airbase at Diego Garcia, more than 4,000km away from Iran.
Until now, it was thought Iran only possessed missiles with a range of less than 2,000km. Overall, the Iranian military has proved to be more potent than thought. They managed to hit an F35 - a stealth fighter plane considered the most advanced in the world. The US has also moved their giant aircraft carrier, the USS Gerald R Ford, to Crete for repairs. The Iranians claim they hit the ship causing a fire.
