Do your 67 at Red Cross
People’s Post Claremont & Rondebosch
|July 15, 2025
As South Africans across the country prepare to commemorate the legacy of Nelson Mandela, the Children's Hospital Trust is urging the public to honour the occasion by bringing joy and dignity to kids undergoing treatment at the Red Cross War Memorial Children's Hospital.
From yesterday (14 July) to Friday 18 July, the hospital has opened its doors to volunteers who wish to spend their 67 minutes in service of young patients. The Trust is calling on all to participate by visiting the wards and delivering soft toys, activity books, crayons and their warmest smiles to the children. The initiative offers a rare chance for the public to witness the courage and resilience of kids who are facing serious health challenges.
