Var system has far too many flaws, says Stewart

Top football pundit Michael Stewart has branded VAR not fit for purpose.

The former midfielder hit out after technology was used to wipe out Marcus Fraser’s opening goal in St Mirren’s 3-0 Premiership defeat to Hibernian.

Stewart, speaking on Premier Sports on Saturday night, believes two images were used in an attempt to confirm the Buddies defender was offside before he found the back of the net.

Dan Nlundulu was later ruled offside after netting which means Saints have had four goals disallowed across three home fixtures.
