Police initiate vehicle stops in Renfrewshire

Police have been carrying out a number of traffic stops across Renfrewshire as they seek to stamp out poor driving behaviour.
Officers from the Local Problem Solving Team spent time in Paisley Town Centre, Ralston and at a number of local schools as part of the Renfrewshire Road Traffic Initiative.
The new programme-which has involved collaboration with Greater Glasgow's road policing unit-has three key aims: to reduce collisions, positively influence driver behaviour and keep communities safe.
It was launched following a number of complaints from members of the public and has seen more than 100 vehicles stopped in the Renfrewshire area.
