Paisley supermarket set for refurbishment

Paisley’s Aldi store is set for a significant revamp after the supermarket chain announced a £42 million investment in its Scottish operations.

The discount retailer has unveiled details of its latest £1.6 billion expansion programme over the next two years.
The funding will result in two new stores in Dumbarton, West Dunbartonshire, and Bishopbriggs, East Dunbartonshire, while existing outlets in Paisley, Stirling’s Springkerse, Greenock, Inverclyde, and Linlithgow, West Lothian, are also due for refurbishments.
In its annual trading statement, Aldi revealed plans to open 80 new stores throughout 2026 and 2027 to cater to Britain's growing demand for budget-friendly food shopping.
