Nursery staff provide 'positive ethos' for kids

A Paisley nursery’s “positive and welcoming ethos” has been praised by the education watchdog after a recent inspection.

A team of inspectors from Education Scotland visited Jennyswell Nursery in June when they spoke with parents, carers and young people while working closely with the manager of the facility and staff.

On a six-point scale where one is unsatisfactory and six is excellent, the Paisley facility was rated as four - or ‘good’ - for its learning, teaching and assessment, and also rated as ‘four’ for securing children’s progress.

During the visit, the inspectors commented on areas of strength which were outlined in their report.

It noted that the manager and practitioners “create positive and nurturing relationships with children and families”.
