Signs point to one film being enough

Set in the immediate aftermath of last year's Chapter 1, Madelaine Petsch's Maya is once again in the firing line as she is left stranded in a small town with no way out and three deadly killers on her tail.
Free from essentially having to reboot the superior original 2008 flick, there was creative licence for this middle instalment of the new trilogy to push the envelope and take us to places we haven't been to before.
Alas, despite not being entirely set in a hospital, Halloween II style, like I feared it would be, Alan R. Cohen and Alan Freedland's script really struggles to fill even the slim 98-minute running time.
