Council changes meeting time so members can stay up late for Scotland game
Renfrewshire councillors will be able to stay up and support Scotland when they face Brazil in this year’s World Cup - without the worry of an early rise the following morning.
The country's final Group C fixture, which is due to take place at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, is set to kick off at 11pm on Wednesday, June 24.
The last full council meeting before the summer recess was scheduled to start at 9.30am on Thursday, June 25.
And elected members had faced a curtailed night's sleep, ahead of dealing with the business at hand, if they decided to watch the match.
