Beating of Belfast is the perfect way to bounce back from Manchester defeat
Glasgow Clan returned to winning ways as they emerged victorious over Belfast Giants at the Braehead Arena.
The Clan suffered a heavy 4-0 defeat on home ice on Friday night when Manchester Storm brought the thunder to Renfrewshire, putting their Challenge Cup in great jeopardy.
The clash with Belfast was however a much tighter affair, with goals from Brett Neumann and Jason Fram enough to claw back a 2-1 deficit and send the game into overtime. Darien Kielb ultimately netted the winner to give Corey Neilson's side a lifeline in Group B.
The final score was described as a "huge win for the whole organisation" by assistant coach Mike Sirant as he praised the team for fighting until the end.
"Obviously, we weren't happy with the result last night [4-0 loss to Manchester Storm], and our performance," he said after Saturday's game.
