Ferguslie back to form with a good show on home turf

Ferguslie 1st XI returned to winning ways on Saturday, with a commanding home performance against second-placed Stenhousemuir in a rain-affected 34-over clash at Meikleriggs.
Looking to make amends after last week's defeat to Glasgow High Kelvinside, Ferguslie faced a tough challenge against a Stenhousemuir side who had lost just once in the league this season.
With a delayed start due to weather, visiting skipper Nicky Rodgers won the toss and chose to bowl first - a decision that paid off early as Ferguslie’s openers struggled to get going.
David Stafford (2) and Muhammed Mayet (16) were both dismissed with just 30 runs on the board after 8.2 overs.
However, the momentum soon shifted thanks to an excellent partnership between brothers Uzair and Taimoor Ahmad.
