The figures - published by the Scottish Government - come days after a huge political row kicked off when Nigel Farage said school children in neighbouring Glasgow were "smashing" the city's culture.
In Scotland's largest city, one in three children speak English as an additional language.
Reform UK leader Farage said: "That tells you something - this is not diversity as the left always preaches, it's the cultural smashing of Glasgow".
