Buddies are being urged to check on older and vulnerable neighbours as the cold temperatures endure across the area.

The call to action has been issued by NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) which says people may need help getting groceries, getting to an appointment or simply seeing a friendly face.
People are also being asked, where possible, to grit the paths outside the homes of older and frail neighbours to help prevent slips and falls.
