Councillor hits out at 'rowdy' behaviour

A total of 42 incidents were responded to by Police Scotland between Tuesday, March 18, and Monday, April 28, according to new figures.

Sixteen related to unrest at licensed premises in Paisley town centre after patrons caused a disturbance over being refused entry or were ejected by staff.

Reflecting on the data, Councillor Eddie Devine, who represents Paisley Southeast, expressed concern about the behaviour of some individuals at venues in the town centre.

He said: "I'm sure there are similar reports everywhere but Paisley town centre, from what I hear, is beginning to get very rowdy at times.
