Clan get back to winning ways after losing streak

Corey Neilson says it was “amazing” to see Glasgow Clan’s response to recent criticism after a 5-3 Elite League win over Sheffield Steelers.

The Purple Army had gone four matches without a victory after turning around a seven-game losing streak to make it four triumphs in a row.

Defeats to Belfast Giants (twice), Coventry Blaze and Nottingham Panthers saw the Braehead outfit score only six goals and concede 14.

But the players roared back in convincing fashion thanks to goals from Joseph Hazeldine, Steven Seigo, Ryan Schwartz and a double from Tristin Langan.

Clan head coach Neilson said being able to have a full forward line to pick from helped matters and was delighted to see his side take advantage of Steelers being shorthanded on Friday night.
