Chancellor invited to Paisley

The UK Chancellor of the Exchequer has been invited to Paisley to see first-hand how the town could benefit from the UK Government's recently bolstered Local Growth Fund.

Johanna Baxter, MP for Paisley and Renfrewshire South, extended the invitation to Rachel Reeves in the House of Commons when the increased £1.7 billion fund was announced.
Ms Baxter said the fund - designed to get shovel-ready projects off the ground-could breath new life into Renfrewshire town centres.
