Johnstone side are off to a good start in Premier Division opener with convincing victory
Murdo MacKinnon was delighted to see Johnstone Burgh kickoff with an opening-day win-but knows his side can get better.
Burgh had four new signings in their starting XI with Matty Grant, Lewis King, Stuart Faulds and Ian McShane all making their debuts against Kilwinning on Saturday.
The red-and-white army descended on Buffs Park for the club's West of Scotland League Premier Division opener.
And, in the 21st minute, their travelling support was rewarded as Burgh broke the deadlock in incredible fashion.
It was Blair Rossiter whose well-struck first-time drive from 20 yards out found the top corner of the net - giving former Burgh keeper Glen Cameron no chance.
The goal was a consequence of Del Esplin being fouled near the halfway line and the resulting free-kick being played short to King.
