October 08, 2025

I'm delighted that Paisley has been shortlisted for Scotland’s Town of the Year 2025, at the Scotland Loves Local Awards, with the winner set to be announced at the end of this month.

Award nod for our proud town

Rich in heritage Paisley has been shortlisted for Town of the Year at the 2025 Scotland Loves Local Awards

Paisley is rich in heritage and culture and this nomination acknowledges the significant investment we've made in recent years to enhance our town for residents and visitors alike - both culturally and in its infrastructure.

Our ambitious plans have seen the transformation of our town hall, arts centre and library, creating fantastic facilities for everyone to use and be proud of as we recognise the importance of culture in our day to day lives.

Also, the first major renovation of Paisley Museum in its 150-year history will create a world-class visitor destination in the heart of the town and showcase its incredible history and heritage.

It’s not just in culture that we are making improvements.
