Arthurlie suffer heartbreak in five-goal thriller as late hat-trick snatches win for home side

|August 13, 2025
Arthurlie were denied a first win of the season as Hugh Kerr’s second-half hat-trick clinched a five-goal thriller for Glenafton Athletic.
The Barrhead outfit were ahead twice in this West of Scotland League Premier Division encounter — but the home side rallied to win 3-2 at Loch Park on Saturday.
Aaron Healy's brace, in the end, counted for nothing as 'Lie returned from East Ayrshire empty-handed.
And Dunterlie gaffer William Dyer believes his side was hard done by as he prepares for tonight’s league visit of Rutherglen Glencairn.
He said: "I am very disappointed that we could not claim our first win, especially after leading twice, but decisions change games.
"Everyone could see there was a clear foul leading to Glenafton’s first goal. We will be back in training working on things like set-pieces and we have to get it right on Wednesday against Rutherglen now."
