Airport strikes look set to cause holiday chaos

Travel chaos looks likely at Glasgow Airport this month as around 100 workers are set to strike over pay and conditions.
Unite the Union has confirmed the 100 employees of Glasgow Airport Limited will strike over two days at the height of the summer season.
The walk out at the Paisley transport hub will commence at 6am on Thursday, July 24 and end on Saturday, July 26.
The news comes after Unite said despite repeated efforts to negotiate with the airport leadership, no new pay offer has been tabled.
Unite says it has been left with no option but to issue strike dates, claiming that the airport's new management is 'spoiling for a fight.'
Last week, an emphatic 98.7 per cent of Unite members at Glasgow Airport Limited backed industrial action to secure a better pay offer after rejecting a proposed hike of four per cent on the basic rate of pay.
