Bake-Off winner to close business

Great British Bake Off Winner John Whaite is to close his Ormskirk-based Ruff Puff bakery business.
Whaite has revealed that his Ormskirk-based bakery will be closing its doors for good.He first launched his business Ruff Puff as an online-only brownie business in 2024 and decided to open the Cedar Farm Bakehouse last year.
The 36-year-old is known for winning The Great British Bake Off in 2012 and came second as a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing in 2021.
He said: “This has been a painful decision, but after a great deal of reflection, we've decided to close the Bakehouse and refocus our energy on Ruff Puff Brownies as an online business.”
A terrifying incident helped John come to the difficult decision.
