SSR ahead of Nuapada bypoll

The Election Commission of India (ECI) has ordered a Special Summary Revision (SSR) of the electoral rolls in Nuapada Assembly constituency in preparation for the upcoming byelection.

This comes in the wake of the recent Special Intensive Revision (SIR) in poll-bound Bihar.
According to a press note from the office of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Odisha, this revision will be carried out under the Representation of the People Act, 1950, with July 1, 2025 set as the qualifying date.
