Asutosh Padhy won the senior state snooker crown for the fifth time after he again went head to head against his mentor Subrat Das in a nail biting final of the 31st All Odisha snooker and billiards senior state championship.
Vishesh Singhal clinched four trophies as he grabbed both sub-junior and junior state billiards and snooker titles.
The iconic grand finale of the teacher-student duo was fought this year in both billiards and snooker senior state finals, After bagging his billiards title, Padhy sealed his fifth senior snooker title to match his mentor who was looking to grab his sixth but failed after a really good showdown of high breaks, long pots and remarkable safety.
