OPF urges awareness drive for RTE admissions

The Odisha Parents' Federation (OPF) has urged the state government to promptly launch a comprehensive awareness campaign on admissions under Section 12(1)(c) of the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education (RTE) Act for the 2026-27 academic year.
In a representation to Chief Secretary Anu Garg, the federation raised concerns over insufficient publicity of the RTE admission process, which provides 25 per cent reservation for children from Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) and disadvantaged groups in private unaided schools.
