OAS officer suspended over misappropriation of funds

Senior Odisha Administrative Service (OAS) officer Madhusmita Singh has been suspended over alleged financial irregularities during her tenure as Belpahar Municipality Executive Officer, according to a notification issued Saturday by the Department of Revenue and Disaster Management.

While under suspension, Singh will serve in the office of the Rairangpur Sub-Collector and will not be allowed to leave the Mayurbhanj district headquarters without the Collector's permission. She is currently posted as the tehsildar of Jamda in Mayurbhanj district.
