Looking for a treadmill that’s not too ‘used’

I’m in the market for a new treadmill. When I say “new,” I don’t mean “brand new.” I mean “new to me.”

I am looking for a treadmill that someone within 100 kilometers of my city is advertising as “almost new,” “like new” or “heavily used, but only to dry clothes.”

I would not buy the treadmill sight-unseen of course. People in some cultures get married sight-unseen, but it’s a little different with a treadmill as I hope it gets turned on every single night. And it can’t go into “sleep mode” after just three minutes. It needs to keep going for half an hour or more, until it gets turned off - and not by profuse sweating.

Sight-unseen may work for some marriages, but for a treadmill, I want to not only see it, but also push its buttons. I want to see if it can go fairly fast without slipping, vibrating too much or making too much noise. Like a spouse who talks incessantly, a noisy treadmill can make it hard to watch TV while you're on it. But at least “shut up” works for one of them. (The one with builtin AI.)
