Israel, Iran violate truce, leave Trump frustrated

A few days after claiming that he managed to stop a potential nuclear war in Asia, US President Donald Trump Tuesday did an India-Pakistan on Israel-Iran, abruptly announcing a ceasefire between the two. Both the countries approached him for peace simultaneously and he agreed, the self-described peace-maker wrote in his post which had everyone wondering if the 'peace' would be lasting. Hours after the announcement, Trump lashed out at Iran and Israel as the two started violating the ceasefire firing missiles at each other though they earlier had agreed to Trump’s proposal. However, despite the initial violations, there was a sense of relief in the wider Middle East that a path out of war had been charted
