Govt boosts medical edu with new appointments

In a significant move to strengthen medical education and healthcare services, the state government has appointed 91 assistant professors across 23 broad specialty disciplines and seven assistant professors in six super specialty disciplines in its government medical colleges.
In addition, 38 professors and 27 associate professors have been promoted through departmental processes.
According to Health and Family Welfare department officials, the new appointments include 15 specialists and four super specialists at SCB Medical College and Hospital, Cuttack; 19 specialists and three super specialists at MKCG Medical College and Hospital, Brahmapur; six specialists at Pandit Raghunath Murmu Medical College and Hospital, Baripada; one specialist at SLN Medical College and Hospital, Koraput; six specialists at Fakir Mohan Medical College and Hospital, Balasore; one specialist at Bhima Bhoi Medical College and Hospital, Bolangir; two specialists at Shri Jagannath Medical College and Hospital, Puri; and six specialists at Government Medical College, Sundargarh.

Coldrif: Pharma co owner held
