Gender-Responsive Cell for inclusive agriculture unveiled

A step forward in integrating gender equity highlights the commitment to inclusive, evidence-based governance for women farmers
The Gender-Responsive Cell (GRC) was inaugurated Saturday at the Krushi Bhavan here in collaboration with the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI).
Deputy Chief Ministers Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo and Pravati Parida who jointly inaugurated the cell said, “It marks an important step toward embedding gender equity into the state’s agricultural governance system.”
Speaking at the event, Singh Deo emphasised that the launch of the GRC strengthens Odisha’s longstanding commitment to inclusive agricultural development.
“Odisha has always championed progressive agricultural reforms, and the launch of this Gender Responsive Cell reflects our resolve to make agricultural governance more inclusive, evidence-led, and responsive to the needs of women farmers.
