CENSUS 2027 PRE-TEST BEGINS

Marking the first phase of the census of India 2027, the Directorate of Census Operations, Odisha, began the pretest for the house listing and house census in selected areas of the state.
The information was shared during a press meet held in Bhubaneswar, where officials outlined the scope, schedule and new technological features planned for the upcoming national census.
Addressing the media, Nikhil Pawan Kalyan, Director of Census Operations, Odisha, said, “The pretest is being carried out under the supervision of the Office of the Registrar General and Census Commissioner, Ministry of Home Affairs, in close coordination with the State Government.”
