Moves to get empty properties back into use

COUNCIL bosses have identified 439 empty properties in Nuneaton and Bedworth they want to get back into use.

There are more than 1,500 properties standing empty across the two towns.

The borough council has been vocal about its mission to get to grips on the growing number of empty properties across the two towns and it brought in extra charges for people owning second properties, started work on trying to close a legal loophole around shops that have stood empty for years, and employed a new empty property officer.
