YouTuber lifts the lid on Nottingham's 'forgotten' tunnels

NOTTINGHAM is famous for its underground network of caves and now a YouTuber is the latest to uncover them in a new video.

In his first video in Nottingham, Dan Dixon lifts a manhole cover to descend into a Victorian railway tunnel, the location of which the Post has decided not to publish.

Dan's channel, called Exploring with Fighters, has been running for more than eight years, and has covered abandoned sites of interest in all the corners of the globe.

He has now switched his focus to Nottingham for a five-part mini-series on the city's forgotten tunnels and caves.

Nottingham's reputation as the City of Caves is well earned, with 800 of them under the city, many of which have been in use since the 1200s.
