A TEENAGER was found dead in her bedroom after going to a Christmas party with her friends.

Millie Grace Brian was only 18 years old when she was found by her mother, Lucy, on December 21 last year.

An inquest held into the circumstances of her death on Tuesday revealed that Millie had been to a party on the evening of December 20 with her family and friends.

The social event was held at Beeston Hockey Club on University Boulevard, where Millie had worked for the past two years.

Coroner Nathanael Hartley was told during Tuesday's hearing that Millie had arrived at the venue at around 7pm with her mother, her mother’s partner and a male friend. There was an open bar at the event and the hearing was told Millie consumed vodka and possibly wine.
