BOROUGH LOOKING TO ACHIEVE GREATER TREE COVER
PART of Nottinghamshire is set to get another forest after it ranked the worst in the region for biodiversity.
Councillor Neil Clarke, leader of the borough council, said Rushcliffe was set to get the forest just a month after a woodland area spanning the size of around 30 football pitches was announced near Upper Broughton, with plans there to plant more than 15,000 trees.
The location of the second forest has yet to be revealed, due to it still being subject to negotiations.
Speaking to the Local Democracy Reporting Service, Councillor Clarke said: "We've got two areas of forest. One's definite, already done.
