A TAKEAWAY operator has been banned from running a business for five years after illegal workers were found at the premises.

Home Office officials uncovered two staff members working illegally when they visited Chappati Junction, in Hyson Green, in 2024.

The Government's policing and border security department visited the curry restaurant in June that year and found one employee did not have the right to work and another working in breach of their work restrictions.

After investigating Ali Ali Nottingham Limited, which was running the takeaway at the time, the Home Office issued the company a £90,000 civil penalty in August 2024.
