Poppy Baker raced to gold at the World Rowing U23 Championships in Poland

A ROWER raced to gold at the World Rowing U23 Championships in Poland - 780 miles from the National Watersports Centre in Nottingham where she first started rowing in 2020.

Previously a netball player, Poppy Baker switched to rowing after she was talent-spotted by the East Midlands Performance Development Academy. The Academy forms part of one of Great Britain's most successful Olympic talent ID programmes.
