Starzand can lay down a marker at Ffos Las

WITH the jumps season swinging into gear, Starzand could lay down an early marker for the months ahead when he returns to Ffos Las for the second division of the DragonBet Supporting British Racing Maiden Hurdle.
Trainer Philip Hobbs
A son of Derby hero Harzand, the four-year-old set his owners back £230,000 at the sales on the back of a bloodless 25-length romp in a Dromahane point-to-point last December.
Trained by Philip Hobbs and Johnson White, he made an impressive start to life under rules when bolting up in a bumper at the west Wales venue in the spring and heads to familiar territory to begin his hurdling career, but he should take plenty of beating.
Another taking their next step at Ffos Las after a promising introduction is A King Of Magic, who was not far behind well-regarded winner Our Boy Stan and subsequent Persian War, third Moneygarrow, when third for Tom Weston on debut in a Kempton bumper in February.
