Shoplifter was caught with suitcase full of goods

A BUNGLING shoplifter carried out a spate of thefts across Nottingham, but only once actually got away with the goods.

Nottingham Magistrates' Court heard how heavily convicted Errol Guthrie tried to get away with more than £2,500-worth of items by targeting stores in the city centre, Carrington, Bulwell and Arnold.
On at least one occasion he took a suitcase into TK Maxx to fill with items but was challenged as he tried to leave.
Now the 52-year-old, of Basford, has ended up spending Christmas and new year behind bars.
