Sale of Dale's HQ moves company's total closure closer

ADMINISTRATORS for an engineering firm which made all of its staff redundant have sold its former headquarters to a transport company.

Manufacturer Dale (Mansfield) Limited, which had operated from its factory off Rotherham Road in New Houghton, appointed administrators in October.
All 34 employees at the company, which was established in the early 1970s, were made redundant after the business failed to find a buyer or investor. Administrators from Leonard Curtis have been selling off the business's assets, and a key step has now been taken in shutting it down entirely.
Documents recently filed with Companies House show Dale's former headquarters has now been sold to haulage firm Maurice Hill Transport Limited for £1.2 million.
