Robber lured 'small' teenager into park and attacked him

A YOUNG robber, who has amassed 48 offences at the age of just 20, lured a teenager to a Nottingham park and attacked him.

Nottingham Crown Court heard how Mohammad Alali deliberately targeted his 17-year-old victim because of his “small stature” and_persuaded him to come with him on the pretext that someone there was in need of help. But when both of them arrived, he pushed him over, jumped on his back and told him to hand over cash because he had a knife.

And in a victim impact statement, the teenager, who had just returned to his sister's home having cleaned his local community centre, now only goes to his mosque when itis light.

Sending the defendant to a young offender institution for three years and four months, Judge Mark Watson said: “The victim was a young man and of small stature. He had returned from cleaning his community centre and had been dropped off by his sister's house a little after 12.30am.
