Read is stepping up to lead Rockets Women

LEGENDARY former Nottingham-shire wicketkeeper Chris Read has been appointed as the new Trent Rockets Women head coach in The Hundred.

Read, 47, steps up to take the reins from Jon Lewis, under whom he has worked as an assistant coach for the past three editions of the competition.
Within Read’s team will also be another former Green and Gold icon, as Luke Fletcher, who claimed 645 all-format wickets for Notts, takes up an assistant coach role with the Rockets.
Away from The Hundred, he has been head coach of Lancashire for the past two years, and recently signed a contract extension after leading the Red Rose to two trophies in 2025.
