Patients evacuated during fire at QMC’s emergency department

PATIENTS were evacuated from the emergency department at Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham during a fire at the site.

The blaze happened late in the evening on Friday, with disruption continuing into the early hours of Saturday. Firefighters from five fire stations attended the incident and the hospital advised people not to attend until the issue was resolved.
The fire service yesterday confirmed the location of the fire.
