WINGER COULD BE TARGETED BEFORE THE CLUB WORLD CUP

- By SARAH CLAPSON

NOTTINGHAM Forest winger Ramon Sosa is said to be a target for Palmeiras ahead of the opening of the summer transfer window.

The 25-year-old found it tough to force his way into Reds head coach Nuno Espirito Santo's thinking during his first season in England.

As such, he is among a group of players whose futures are in doubt as Forest plot changes to the squad in preparation for the 2025-26 campaign.

Outgoings as well as incomings are on the cards at the City Ground this summer. And all the signs point to Sosa being likely to move on.

According to Brazilian publication BolaVIP, Palmeiras are "really interested" in the wide man. It is said the club are keen to snap him up ahead of the Club World Cup, which starts on June 14.

Forest are said to be "open to hearing offers" for the player they signed from Talleres for £11m 12 months ago. Flamengo have previously been credited with an interest in Sosa.
