Paddling pool reopens after safety checks due to 'senseless vandalism'

THE Victoria Embankment paddling pool has been reopened after it was forced to close due to an act of “senseless vandalism”.

The pool, which has only been open for less than two months, was forced to close on Monday, July 14, for two days while Nottingham City Council assessed its safety.
The local authority confirmed on Monday afternoon that the pool would be closed for 48 hours.
It said it wanted to assess the damage and “make the area safe again”.
