One chance to restore trust... don't waste it

TODAY the Post is calling for the public inquiry into the Nottingham attacks to finally give the victims’ families the answers they deserve and restore public faith in our city’s institutions.

We only have one chance to get this right - to regain confidence in many of Nottingham’s public bodies after the heinous attacks by Valdo Calocane on our streets in June 2023.

We want to use our platform to make sure the message is clearly communicated, that trust is broken in the authorities who failed the victims in this case - Barnaby, Grace and Ian - and we all need to know what went wrong.

It is vitally important that Her Honour Judge Deborah Taylor holds people to account and that the families get the answers they need and deserve.
