My summer was stressful, but I really wanted to continue Forest journey

MORGAN Gibbs-White has reiterated how it was an easy decision to commit his future to Nottingham Forest this summer.
-
The Reds playmaker was the subject of interest from Tottenham Hotspur during the transfer window and came close to moving to the capital. But in a surprise twist, he penned a new contract Trentside to keep him at the club until 2028.
The 25-year-old says the prospect of playing European football with Forest played a key role in his decision. And he is now looking forward to a special night under the City Ground lights later when FC Midtjylland are the visitors in the Europa League (8pm kickoff).
“Oh yeah, 100 percent,” Gibbs-White said when asked if it was an easy decision to stay with the Reds. “After everything we've been through together and knowing that we were back in Europe, I really wanted to continue that journey.
“The fact that after 30 years we're back here, at home, under the lights (in Europe), the fans are going to be incredible. The loudest ever game. That was a big reason as to why I wanted to stay.”
