BOSS TELLS HIS TEAM TO FORGET ANY FRUSTRATION

- By SAM ALLEN

NOTTS County have to put the frustration of missing out on automatic promotion aside as AFC Wimbledon come to town tonight for the first leg of the play-off semi-finals (8pm).

The Magpies were not at the races last time out against Doncaster Rovers in the final League Two game and some sections of the fanbase at Meadow Lane let them know vocally at full-time with jeers.

It was a drab ending with a chance at automatic promotion still possible going into the game but the reality was that Notts had let their opportunity slip by earlier in the run-in, and it seemed clear that the focus was already on the play-offs.

The semi-finals have come around quickly and the Magpies play at home under the lights tonight looking to take something they can hold onto going down south for the second leg in a week's time.

Notts missed their chance at the top three, but they can not sulk about it now, with the chance at promotion still very much alive.
